BIO:
Oxiea Villamonte (b.1995, US) is an American-Dutch photographer born in 1995 in Chicago, Illinois, and currently based in Amsterdam, The Netherlands. She completed both her Bachelor of Fine Arts (BFA) and Master of Fine Arts (MFA) in Photography at The Royal Academy of Fine Arts Antwerp, Belgium. Her work is deeply influenced by her personal history, particularly her relationship with her mother and her exploration of intergenerational connections. Villamonte’s work has been exhibited at the Museum der bildenden Künste in Leipzig, Germany, and “.tiff, Emerging Belgian Photography” at the FOMU photo museum in Antwerp, Belgium.
