Growing up in Thailand in an artist family, photographer Deo Suveera has always been fascinated by observing people, objects and nature. After graduating from The Royal College of Art in London he’s back in his hometown Chiang Mai, where we talk to him about his time being in a band, the importance of mentorship and his love for taking strolls in the parks of London.
There are objects and details that, being part of everyday life, we stopped looking at them, we stopped being surprised by their presence or admiring them like the first times. It is precisely these elements hidden in the ordinary that are the main subject of Deo Suveera‘s shots.
Through his photographs Suveera shows us what his eyes see, what he observes and what he finds interesting enough to immortalize. What we can see is a tendency to focus mainly on elements that surround us every day. Through his camera, Deo Suveera transforms into art a paper bag, a cactus, the shadow of a tree or an empty toothpaste tube and invites us to rediscover everyday life.
