Chafa Ghaddar

Chafa Ghaddar (b. 1986, Lebanon) lives and works in Dubai. Her practice spans painting, fresco, drawing, photography, and
large-scale site-specific interventions-a vocabulary shaped by her training at ALBA Beirut and a formative period studying fresco and traditional techniques in Florence. Surface, materiality, and emotional intensity are her languages; her work moves between the intimate and the architectural with striking ease. She has exhibited at the 16th Lyon Biennale (curated by Sam Bardaouil and Till Fellrath), Maraya Art Centre Sharjah, and was awarded the Boghossian Art Prize for Painting at Villa Empain, Brussels.
